*Jury Statement:
“Children living in mud and snow, in the desperate conditions of a refugee
camp, don’t loose their joy of life. Avoiding any sort of artificial
construction, the filmmaker gives the 9 years old protagonist and his
siblings the dignity they deserve.”

Synopsis:

Mohamad, a 9 year old Syrian refugee living in a makeshift camp in the north of Lebanon, is the eldest of his 4 other siblings. With a missing father and an absent mother, Mohamad is torn between being a kid and being a caretaker to his family.
